Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Blanched Ltd collects through this website, why, and the rights you have over it.
1. Who we are
Blanched Ltd (trading as Blanched) is the controller of the personal data described here. We are a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15516744), with our registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. You can contact us about privacy at hello@blanched.uk or on 020 3411 0730.
2. What we collect
- Enquiries and requests — name, email, phone, business name, site address and the details you give us when you use our network enquiry, support request, partner or quotation forms.
- Account and company details — if you create an account: your login email, and the company information you register (company name, address, contact person, and optionally registration number, VAT number and turnover).
- Orders and quotations — the products and services you ask us to quote or supply.
- Payments — when a deposit or invoice is paid, card details are handled directly by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.
- Technical data — basic information your browser sends when you visit (such as IP address and device type), used to deliver and secure the site.
3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare quotes — steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
- To deliver hardware, installation and support you have agreed to — performance of a contract.
- To keep invoices and business records — legal obligation (for example, HMRC record-keeping).
- To run, secure and improve our website and services, and to follow up on enquiries — our legitimate interests, balanced against your rights.
We do not sell your data, and we do not send marketing emails unless you have asked to receive them.
4. Who we share it with
- Our website and database host, and our email provider, who process data on our instructions.
- Our payment provider, when you pay a deposit or invoice.
- Manufacturers, distributors or partners (for example Lightspeed) only where needed to fulfil something you have asked for, such as a POS implementation or a warranty claim.
- Professional advisers and authorities where the law requires it.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (or an equivalent safeguard).
5. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't lead to work: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Customer, order and invoice records: 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to.
- Accounts: for as long as your account is open, then as above.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it to be transferred to you or another organisation. Email hello@blanched.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put it right first.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
